External Brain(s) is a consulting practice, specialized in developing innovative service concepts and solutions for the healthcare industry. The company was founded in 1992 in The Netherlands by Dr. Rob Neeter (1957), a Medical Doctor from the University of Amsterdam.

Neeter worked from 1984-1992 in the international pharmaceuticals and communications industry.

In 1992 he established External Brain(s) to move into high level strategic consulting and development of new service concepts and solutions for the healthcare industry. Dr. Neeter still is the conceptual driver of the company and the innovative entrepreneur behind the company’s business initiatives.

External Brain(s) clients are pharmaceutical companies, diagnostics companies, manufacturers of medical devices and service providers to the healthcare industry. Apart from the clients in the commercial market External Brain(s) has supported health insurers, hospitals and other health institutions.

Over the last 18 years External Brain(s) has been involved in the start-up of a number of new companies in healthcare IT, medical devices, healthcare communications, disease management and self management.
